Help Me Choose Tire Size

Post by runnerma »

Hi all,

I have a stock 4cyl MX-3 '93.
Im the first Owner and the car has 72K on it.

The stock tire size is 185/60-14

I've ordered 16" rims, but Im having troubles of what tire size to choose :( :(

Im in between a. 205/50-16 (my first option)
b. 205/45-16 (closer to stock size)

Will the centre of gravity go up with the 1st option?
What do u think its best for appearance and what for the geometry of the car?

Is My stock MX-3 lower than a stock MX-3 GS?

Thanks in advance :D

No, the RS rides a little higher than the GS.

You're going to want to drop it now, or you'll look like a monster truck.
Now with Moderator power!

Black '93 BP RS - wrecked, parted, scrapped.
Green GS - Sold.
Black GS - Summer DD/Race car - Fancy KLZE
Red GS - K8-ATX -> MTX-KLDE - Frakencar. Scrapped
White GS - Rusty. Parts. Scrapped
1997 BMW M3 - my summer baby
2002 BMW 325Xi - sold
2003 Forester Xti - EJ20K swapped.

NIce car!
Any of the good spring options will give you a great looking stance. RSs especially look tall without the lip.

Here in Greece, only the RS was released, so there is no option to find a GS lip neither a junkyard :/
And I want to keep it stock. I will keep looking at ebay at europe and maybe I'll be lucky one day to find one.

It looks good without it. I'm just saying that it will look better lowered.
