Little valves

Post by Ryan »

Does anyone have, or know what has, very small engine valves?

I'm talking like, 1.25" long, and 1/2" base

I'm thinking about making earrings for the old lady....

Go to a hobby store. There are 4 stroke engines for model airplanes, which have valves about that size.

I went to hobby stores a couple of times to get tiny pistons, for a necklace. They gave me burnt ones for free, but you have to be very friendly, because they usually return them for warranty.
They would make awesome earrings!

If you want to give your wife/girlfriend/ladyfriend a gift that is car related... get rotary earrings. They probably won't recognise the symbol, but you will :)

Hello friends,
Some engines may have variable valve timing in which the valves have different rates of operation with different engine speeds. But the cylinder valves simple principles of operation remain unchanged. They are still used to open or close the cylinders. If even one of these valves fail in an engine, this could render the whole engine totaled. Surely, the modern internal combustion engine is nothing without the valves that control it.

I thought no one here knew about valves? I guess he doesn't know that our Mx-3's are rotary powered with cams.

You get them anyway! If she bothered to learn about them, she's got to have some passion... and therefore appreciation for your thoughtful gift :P

My girl is already sportin' a pair, and actually knows what it is, although few other people do.
