up to now i thought i had a B6 motor in my car.. i was looking on the block the other day and noticed it said B5.. but on my exhaust down pipe is has a B6 on it? what do i have?? my car is a 96 rs DOHC.

You sure its not just a goofy looking 6? cuz B5 didnt happen, especially in a 96

The only "MX-3" that came with a B5 was the Autozam AZ-3.

Anyways, both the B5 and B6 have the same bore, so maybe they used B5 blocks to make B6s? :?

From what I've seen, all DOHC B6's say B5** on the block or head. I forget which. Either way, you have a B6.
