I know... right? I feel very good about the car EVERYONE keeps telling me to park
and not put anymore money into. They have been calling her a disposable car since i got her.
Its a car you can throw away when it doesnt run anymore. If it stops running
i will drop another motor in. I do have some AC issues that no one seems
to beable to fix on both cars. AC just slowly went away one day as i was driving.
If you live in Mississippi, you NEEEEEEEEED AC in you rcar and home. Much like FL.
The three hottest places i have lived: MS, FL and Guam.

what do you mean by "slowly went away" Is the compressor still working? When you turn on A/C you can see it running, if so chances your system needs recharged.

Chances are a seal is leaking in the A/C system, and a recharge may help for a little bit, but the refrigerant will leak out. How easily it can be fixed depends on if it came with R12 or R134A. Unless she wants to go to Mexico, its gonna be pricey to fix if the system was charged with R12..

while i was driving it slowly got warmer from super cold to warm.
Real slow like almost wasnt noticable except it was like 101 outside and 99% humid.
Yes compressor is still working. I tried some of that stuff you buy in a can at the parts store
but didnt work. I took it to an AC place but they couldnt figure it out.
The IQ here is some what lower then average. Is why i have to learn these things on my own.

I would think mx-3s were charged with 134 not R14, this is not 60's cars lol.

Your car was probably R12 (chech for a sticker under the hood) and it's around $150 to get the compresser changed over to use R134a. Have a garage put a leak detector fluid in when they charge the system that way you'll see if it's leaking. Mine would only leak sometimes, the fluid showed me where and I put a new seal in. Good luck.

i will have someone in another state check it out when i get back on the road.
Maybe i will head to Alabama to visit friends and have the AC worked on while there.
the R134 didnt work (i didnt fit) and i had not tried the R12 yet.
