Are there any interchangable alternators that i can get for my car?? Or is there anyone that has a extra one that is good that i can by pretty cheap. Thanks

Any B series engine has an alty you can use... unless you're running extra load, or have full power options, you don't need more than a 65A alty.

My B6 and my BP both had the 65A alternator. The only difference between them was the pulley.

I'm pulling 700 watts off my stereo 400.4 + 300.1 without an extra battery or a cap and I don't see any of the light flicker or the revs bouncing. Unless you're getting a show quality deck, the stock should be more than enough.

The max load of your alty should match the max load you can reasonably demand...

So, if you open your sunroof, roll your windows down, blast the AC, turn the defog on, blast the stereo, with your high beams on and your 4 ways going, with your interior lights on full, with the map lights.... while sitting and the rad fan comes on, as you're adjusting both your mirrors.

Your alty may take a poop.



A junkyard alty is a good place to start. Mine was $20.
