Flex-a-lite 480 Electric Fan

Post by MX3-4U2NV »

Has anyone installed one of these? Did a search, came up empty. Unless I searched the wrong terms.

480, 490 (reversible)

Air Flow - 3000 CFM
Dimensions - 26.25” x 15.5” x 4”
Amp Draw - 17.5 - 29
Universal Fit
Blades - Dual 8
Diameter - Dual 12.125”
Controls:
- 480: Adj. Thermostat, A/C Relayand Variable Speed Control

If I measured right, this should cover about 98% of the rad.

nice, i would like to see one installed.
i considered installing 2 of the 10' fans they sell at the local part stores, would be less amp-draw but
combined would be 1600 cfm....

I've always used Flex-a-lite fans, they are excellent quality, and the people are great to deal with. And yes, their instructions leave no questions

for added protection and insurance, the harder you push your engine the the harder your cooling system has to work.
same reason you would want a full aluminum radiator.

I'm a little late seeing this post, but I have a set of flexalites similar to the one pictured. I make good us of mine, but I also beat the crap out my car at the track.

Nice fans, possibly my next mod, but until summer. I only run the ac fan since I got a turbo that wont let me have the stock fan in there. however.. it would be nice to have that fan cool the turbo up a bit.
