I agree that color would look really bad, not only on an MX-3, but basically everywhere. But there are nice shades of orange that I think would look sick on the MX-3. I personally like candy tangerine...
+1. However I dont think ill ever own an mx3 unless it's blaze red. I might try to spray a metallic clear over mine though. Have no idea how that'd turn out.
Blaze red is one of the few shades of red I really like. Unfortunately, I know for a FACT (I have spoken to them about it) that, at least here in S Florida, cops target red sport cars specifically.
So, at least for me, blaze red is out.
Dupli-color makes a metallic clear in the "Paint Shop" line that you can spray at home, if you have an airbrush. You may want to make a few test strips with it...
It wouldnt be the first time i've painted. But I still have all the old body parts from collisions, bumpers, lips, etc. So that's what I'll try first....
