Dose this look Ricey?

Post by Twizz »

Image

I'm pretty sure I took the design from custommx3 although I can no longer find the thread.
I'm just looking to set the car from the crowd as I do not really want to do any body modifications...
Other then a rsx rear lip.. Sexy...

So what do you think, Ricer or not?

I don't think it looks ricey. Just plain ugly.
If you want to be different, paint it with a different color. There are tons of custom colors to choose from.

If you do that, I will seriously take a bus to where you live, and put vtec stickers all over it. Where's the body kit, whale tail, and underglow?

Yeah... not a good look. Better off throwing an open can of paint at the car and seeing what happens. It's a nice looking car to begin with, why try to "improve" on that by making it look ghastly.

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth...

Granted Ford and Mazda are still a little together and Escorts, Probes, MX-6's and MX-3's share lots, but - really - an MX-3 Torino??

That mx3 rendering looks like a mask, splash, and dash. Why put such straight lines that contradict the shape of the car? Looks like it's ready for a demo derby.

Haha,
I kinda expected such a response.
I really want to keep the red for two reasons, So the engine bay will not be a different color.
and I like it.

Is there anything I can do, keeping the red, so set it off from the crowd?

Make the car as clean as possible with tasteful mods, that will set it apart from the crowd. There is only a handful of really nice mx3's out there.

I am not sure if mine is set apart from the crowd, but half the ppl that comment on it around town or wherever dont even know what kinda car it is.

If you want the car to look, according to what the majority of the forums here believe stands apart, go for stock.

It's the parts that are RARE that make it look good. I would do the following:

EDM/JDM front bumper
USDM/EDM or JDM lip (Good luck on the lip)
Full-length OEM sides (Good luck finding these puppies)
OR
Euro Mini sides (these are common
the RSX lip is really nice, but if not an option definitely grab a set of mudguards

Keep her washed, keep her clean.

The projectors headlights are also a nice touch. I like the Sonar brand headlights myself.

GS, Wraparound or RS spoiler is also a nice touch.
