Hello
I have the opportunity to buy a mazda mx-3 real cheap like 200 bucks from my wifes cousin she is getting a new car and was just going to take it to the junk yard however i hate to see the car go to the junkyard i dont know much about it yet all i know is that it will probally need a engine rebuild and some electrical work (which is not a problem since im going to school for mechanics) the body looks great and its a 5 speed and it shifts good i guess what im asking is how hard is it to find parts for these cars ( oh it is the v6 model) i don't really have much experience with these cars ive always owned domestic but these is just something about this car that makes me have to have it. also if anyone has any quirks about the cars that they would like to share that would be great thanx for your information. hope to see ya around

Re: question about the mx-3
hey if the body is in good condition then do it man.
super easy to work on these cars, dont let the v6s seemingly crammed engine bay scare you. they are easy to work on.
parts aernt expensive and although the aftermarket world doesnt have too too much support for our cars, OEM stuff is still alright.
if your thinking its going to need an engine rebuild then you should look into swapping in the 2.5 v6. search "klze" these are direct bolt in minus some stuff and fairly straight forward when it comes to pullin the motor and gettin your 2.5 in there
plus that engine makes 200 horse and will take you down a quarter mile in roughly 14 and a half seconds. so it will be a super fun car to drive.
i vote GET IT!!!! (if the body is good)

Make sure the car comes complete with extra commas and other punctuation marks.

Re: question about the mx-3
I say no if you're using the car as anything more than a beater, you're going to end up spending more money fixing it than if you bought one in good condition, and you'll also spend alot of time. Plus mazda electrical problems are nightmares, believe me, I've spent countless hours tracing down electrical problems with mine and I still haven't fixed them all. I like to have my car running properly without using free fixes that don't fix the problem entirely. But if you just want a cheap beater then yea go for it.

Are you crazy? For a price like that and it's driveable? It's a steal. Definitely go for it dude, those things seem minor and worst case scenario you could make some profit by parting it out.
