I have had alot of requests, and read SO many threads; "What sounds best?", so I finally got a clip of mine. this was on a Dyno day, and he only pushed it to 6600rpm (I'm not sure why, since it was still steadily climbing in power). For some reason, it sounds a little raspier when you're standing in the direct shot of the exhaust. I L VE the idle sound.
Finally! Sound clip of my MX-3!

Re: Finally! Sound clip of my MX-3!
It is Pacesetter long tube headers (with the ball & socket joint instead of the flex tube), 2.25" piping with 1 90 degree Mandrel bend to the side, and a FlowMaster HushPower muffler. That's it. No cat, or resonator. With a high-flow cat, it would be better for daily driving, and the Birds & Bees.
I believe this to be the best exhaust setup for the powerband, while still having some muffling. I could gain a couple HP at the top with 2.5" tubing, but I like having some power down low.
