Re: Catalytic Converters
when it smells like that, it's time to replace the cat.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

Re: Catalytic Converters
Why do you say that? All cars fitted with cats produce that smell, its just the extent of the smell. I only get it when I've put my foot down. My dad's one always smelt like that too and he had one from new.
Re: Catalytic Converters
your cats shot! just punch it out! if u have a v6 and exhaust done with no cat u will shoot flames shifting hard from second to third! hehe believe me in know!

Not to tell you what you should or shouldn't do, but can you say Air Pollution?
That bad smell (NOx, not Sulfer) is a sign that your cat is not working correctly. Nitric Oxides are realy bad for making brown haze that you see over citys, and produce pretty bad acid rain. Without a cat you'll also put a lot more Hydrocarbons into the atmosphere, these are typically worse greenhouse gases than CO2.
If you want better preformance get a free flowing cat, or use two in parallel.
