MAF Sensor

Post by blaudust7 »

I bought a used MAF sensor for a $100, GND the TEN and got rid of two codes, 11 (intake air thermo sensor) and 5 (knock sensor). I assume this is great. Does anyone have any comments?

Your new VAF (not MAF) is bad, and so is your knock sensor.

Pretty self-explanitory those codes

When I installed the new VAF the codes are not showing. They were with the old one.

Why would the VAF have anything to do with the knock sensor?

Dodgy wires makes sense, but I wasn't even close to the knock sensor. It's just odd to me, that's all. I will GND TEN again and check the wiring.
