guage light

Has anyone changed the little light for the gauges to another color or is it even possible. i wwant to change mine to a purple light, if i was to change it will it even look purple?

I'm in the process of doing this. I've managed to change the light bulb on the cig lighter/ash tray to red. the one behind the temp controls is a weird shape bulb and can't find one in red like it, but those shine through green even though the bulb is white.<BR>the ones behind the instrument cluster can be changed too but I don't know if it has to be the same watt bulb. I installed indiglo gauges and i want to change the bulbs so that the green does not come through, i'd rather have red come through. don't know if it will change the standard gauges but it will at least give some colour change I think. You have to take the instrument cluster out to do the change. think the bulbs are marke 'illumi' or something like that.

the bulbs behind the gauges have like green condoms on them.. i replaced them with blue... it looked blue for about 2 days... and for some reason they went back to green.. i havent the slightest idea what happend but im getting indiglo soon.

all blue coloured bulbs fade usually after! best thing to do is buy a little condom for them that is coloured blue!@(rubber sleeve that just slides over top of the bulb) thats what i did! they look like bright blue now! look great..

where did you find the rubber sleeves?

Actually they now make some spray for coloring bulbs i saw it on a web page theres like five or six colors
