How to fix this broken cam?

Cjthor's Dad-in-law is a master welder, and I'll find out soon if he can do it, but if not, is it fixable? I assume it'll have to be heated up, and "Sweat welded", but it seems like it would take special equipment.

Umm...welding, probably. And then machine it. Don't know if fixing it is a good idea, though... I'd feel better getting a new one.

broke via shipping company.

Just superglue that thing. No issue.

If the repair is professional, it should be okay. The worst thing that happens is you need a new head AND cam later :P

Looks cast to me, Its probably shot. If you can get that piece off the cam, then you could have a new piece machined to fit, and then fit on the cam.
