ABS light on

Post by Cid »

I have a 1992 MX-3 Precidia with the 1.8 engine. The ABS light remains on. I checked for codes from the diagnostic unit. The light remains solid during this test without pulses to indicate the issue. I cleaned the sensors with no luck. I recall the last owner saying that the light came on when she got the CV joints done. None of the sensor wires look disturbed. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

ignore it 'cause ABS sucks anyway.

Haha, did you try the troubleshooting section in the online manuals? It will be under "Brakes".

Yeh, check to see if you have ABS cogs on your outer CVs. They should be in line with the sensors.

if thats what the past owner said most likly the axle was replaced with the wrong one, there are 2 diffrent axles you can get abs and non abs, check to make sure the 2 front axles have counter teethe on the ends off them and the sensors are aligned and not to far away
