FelipeT wrote:Got your attention? Well, it isn't as simple (or as good) as it sounds, so read on...

This car was damaged while it was on the dealer lot at Woody Anderson Ford in Huntsville, AL when it still only had 27 miles. The fuse box caught fire and burned the underhood insulation, along with some underhood rubber/plastics. The damage isn't really as bad as it sounds, but that wasn't the end of misfortune that befell this car.

It was declared a total loss, sold at auction, and subsequently stored for about 10 years. While it was in storage it the interior was vandalized. Long story short, damaged components were removed and then I ended up with the car.

I've been slowly working on trying to find NOS or like new parts to rebuild this car into a show car since I've had it, but I figured that I would try to see if there was anyone on here more motivated than I to see this project to completion.

So, some details:

1995 Seafoam Green Probe GT on (missing) Saddle leather interior

Dash and headliner are all that is included of the interior, however, I can throw in a new aftermarket carpet.

Damaged clearcoat on the hood over the fusebox area, but the color coat is still there.

Spoiler Delete Option (rare in 1995.)

Original silver swirly spoke wheels with original Goodyear Gatorback tires (with 27 miles.)

Like new mechanicals (with 27 miles.)

Did I mention that the car had 27 miles? :D

Some pictures from when it came out of storage:

Price is $4500. I'm aware that it might seem a little high for a non-running car with basically no interior, but considering the rarity of a car with mileage this low, I don't believe that it is so out of line. Thus, I will consider reasonable offers via PM or e-mail, but please no low-ballers.

Anyway, I'd prefer to keep the car and continue plugging away on putting it back together, but if someone else wants to run with this one, I'll let it go. Honestly, however, if nobody else is interested, and if I can't find suitable parts to put it back correctly, then there is a very good chance that one day my personal 1995 PGT will be back to new condition.

If there is any interest, I'll be glad to add more detailed pictures...

First trip down the highway the 14+ year old tires will explode.

And the internals are probably all wrecked/rusted unless it was stored properly....

The bushings would all be cracked and junky, getting worse depending on his climate.

I'm not sure its much better than a well maintained 95.
Now with Moderator power!

14 year old, good or bad, but the fact that's it's 14yrs old is still kinda good.

The missing interior and burnt fuse box kinda sucks tho

Doesn't matter if it's factory helloy kitty pink with polka dots. Of course the fact that stuff is 14yrs old and unused and aged components will be useless and that car needs more work than most think it does, but it's bascially like a time capsule. Kinda neat that something new and unused can sit around for that long.

The 14 yr old rust free body is the best part, but too steep for $4500

Hehe, techncically it's the only part. I know know. If it was C$4500 it would be quite resonable. I looked at a mx-3 in great condition the other day, but it still had one decent rust spot on the frame, rust around the drainage holes for the sunroof but the rest of the underbody is basically mint, and he's asking $3500 for it. It would need some work to fix those, so $4500 for a clean slate i think it's quite decent. You've have to repalce all the busings, but everything metal, the most import parts would be mint.
