SO here is the meal plan for the trip.

Food List for Kelowna Trip 2009

Thursday
Dinner - Hamburgers & Corn on the cob

Friday
Breakfast – French toast & sausage
Lunch – Taco Salad
Dinner - Steak & Potato’s & a veggie (carrots)

Saturday
Breakfast – Eggs, hash-browns and bacon
Lunch – Smokies and a veggie (snow pea’s if available)
Dinner – Fend for yourself (eat out in Kelowna)

Sunday
Breakfast – Pancakes, mixed fruit and whipping cream
Lunch – Turkey & Ham Sandwiches served at the beach
Dinner – Sloppy Joe’s

Monday
Breakfast – Cereal (choice of Corn Pops, Fruit Loops and Granola)

This is a comprehensive list of what we are planning for the meals. we have worked out the costs, and I know I said $40 each, but due to the fact that these are not hotdogs for every meal the cost will be $55/person which due to the quantity will still be a good deal as we are getting stuff from Costco.

Please confirm you are ok with the cost, and if you would like me to keep the amount from the campsite refund for the food bill.

And being that you live 20 mins away from where we are camping, yo can come for the fun, then make it back to your bed to sleep.

fixed... sorry I guess i just assumed and made an a-- out of just me.

for camping you owe Darcy and depending if you want to go earlier will depend on the cost.

Some of us are going up on the 12th and staying till the 20th.

for food, it is $55/person and for the 4 nights would be $70 for your tent (ie you and a guest)

if you would like to come for the extra days, it would be $140 total plus $55 for food.

JUST AN FYI

for thoes that dont know, some of us are going to utilize the booking and go up a little earlier.

Jacki and I will be going up on saturday the 11th and getting to Bear Creek for the 12th. Staying at my bros house in Cranbrook (room for tents for the night). we will then take the roade north to Nelson (windy funness) and meet up in Kelowna in the afternoon.

Jen is a firm maybe (may have to work)

What day do you guys plan on driving into kelowna from the camp site? I'll come up that morning.

looks like the Kelowna "official: day is Saturday, but we will confirm that closer to the day.

everyone should come out to the campsite and have a fire and party. but details will come closet to the day.

no worries, you will not be going on your own, and there is always the drive back that we ALL will be doing.

In a devastating turn of events I will no longer be able to be in BC at the time of the meet. Turns out all of the friends that we are going to visit cannot make that weekend work so we will be coming out sometime in the weeks following the meet.

I am deeply saddened that I will miss the meet again this year. I'm sure you'll all have a great time though.

Yeah, plan to meet at Kelowna City Park at around 11:30am PST on Saturday, July 18th, 2009. Usually it is good to grab a late breakfast/early lunch before going to the meet. Be sure to bring stuff to go swimming as we usually need to take a dip when playing volleyball on the hot beach sand. My feet hurt just thinking about it. Oooch...

Jesse: Tracy and I are in for heading out with you guys on July 11th. I should be lots of fun to take the South route into BC. What way were you planning to take to Kelowna? I know you mentioned Nelson; so is it going to be...

1. Nelson > Nakusp > Fauquier > Coldstream/Vernon > Kelowna ?

or

2. Nelson > Castlegar > Grandforks > RockCreek to Hwy33 > Kelowna ?

(I like option 1 personally, but that's just me. A little more secluded within Nature and the roads are fun.)

So Colin, what you are saying is you are in for a longer kelowna trip?! we will most likely be leaving here either saturday and spending the night in cranbrook (bros backyard) free camping and gets us 4 hours closer, and doing the long (FUN!!!) way, or maybe leaving sunday really early to do the fun way as it is around 10 hours. we will iron out the details in the comming weeks.

I would really like too. but totally depends on my job at the time. currently I dont have that job yet so can't say at the moment.
