Emergency quick question re: brake hoses

Post by nightfire »

Hey everyone,

My JF*JjfJ@! garbage cheap SS brake hoses I ordered from ebay were all defective. They all pop under full braking pressure.

I've ordered some new better ones, but until they arrive I need a new rubber hose so I can drive.

Napa doesn't stock the rear hoses for our cars... does anyone know a more common car we'd be compatible with?

Escort GT? Probe/MX-6?

I guess it's just a pretty standard 3/16 flare nut to banjo bolt connector.

It closes at 5pm today.. help! :)

Escort GT should be the same... Protege GT but there rare.

Those are the only cars with the 4 disk and same chassis (well similar, you know what I mean)

They were from "gforcebrakes" on ebay, and he seems to have disappeared. One of the lines is working perfectly, and the other 3 were fine for moderate brake pressure.. but when I started the engine and pressed hard, they started pi**ing brake fluid out from behind the flare nut fittings.

Ok I'll check out the Escort GT lines and see what other Mazda he has in stock.

God, what a pain.

EDIT - Hah. Someone else had the same problem:

lol aw thanks guys. :)

It's ok.. I bought an escort GT hose and it fits perfectly.. identical to stock (even the clips fit). Super cheap too - $33CDN.

I swear if I find the animal that sold me these SS lines I will kill him with my bare hands. He was clearly buying defective parts that failed QA and reselling them for a profit. It's one thing to defraud people and take their money... it's totally another to sell them known defective BRAKE parts that could get people killed.
