I cut out the horn for the alarm, because it was in the way of where I wanted to put my MSD 6A box. Since then, the car loses almost all power when the key is turned to "Start" (There are about 2 volts at the starter). I think the alarm is cutting the power. I wired the horn back in. When I push the key fob button to turn the alarm on, or off, it sometimes freaks out, and the door lock solenoids jitter, opening, and closing about 5 times a second, and the alarm beeps that fast, too.
I don't know anything about car alarms. There are about 500 extra wires under the dash with about 7 fuses inline. I'm thinking about towing it to an alarm place to get it fixed.
I'm hoping to find out that I'm just an idiot, and need to reprogram the alarm, or something.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Today, April 17, I took out the fuses, as someone suggested, and disconnected the battery. This made things worse.
Now, I get the usual beeps, when the key is in the "Acc" position, but now, when it's in the "Start" position, I get a faint beep from the fusebox that is in some kind of long code. I couldn't memorize it, because it's like 30 quick beeps, then a series of shorter ones. It pauses, then repeats. I'll read the CEL codes, but with MegaSquirt installed, I'll get a BUNCH of them.
I'd pay someone $40/ hour if they'd come fix this thing. I hate electronics
sorry to hear pulling the fuses made it worse... I know you were hoping that would fix it... Dana and I are going up to Baxter's near the airport today... if he's up to it maybe we will swing by and he can look at it... apparently his screen name DOES mean something (stereoking15) haha
well after jesse contacted the Mooneggs hotline, we sent one of our best specialists to work on his car... within a few hours the problem was sorted out and the car was running... once jesse gets megasquirt running again he should be on the road again...
