do you know for a fact that this is not his product? i don't. did you notice that they are both in hamilton, ontario? his occupation is a tool and die maker. the name of the company on ebay stands for reliable tool and machine. it all kinda fits together doesn't it? either way, i'm not making any assumptions. jeff is a VERY fair person. if he is wrong, he's quick to apologize for his mistake. so why not let jeff and mx-dan handle this on their own. they don't need people getting in the middle jumping to conclusions when they know NOTHING of the situation.
on the turbo kit, are you sure he's not getting anything from this? have you read any possible e-mails sent between the two? again, this is jeff's site, not yours. let him take car of things.
[ August 29, 2003: Message edited by: cre8v mx3 ]

YO...I GOTTA BACK SRD...
THEY HAVE DONE ALOT FOR THE MX
they sponsor the site & they have been around alot longer (before the UBB started)
jeff just doesnt want people to use this site like others where people are selling stuff & he not making any money on the products (b/c it cost money to run, program etc...etc.....)or the ubb doesnt get cluttered up.......plus i just like to point out that mx-3.com & the ubb are considered jeff's intelectual property so he can do almost anything he wants that doesnt violate other laws, such as copyright etc etc.........plus since a membership of some sort is required to use the ubb then it is considered private so freedom of speech laws dont apply........
sometimes i amazed with the stuff that stick in my head

i dont understand, people all the time are posting things that they see on ebay, also, people on here are posting the stuff they are selling on ebay, even if he is the guy selling it,
whats the difference from doing what hes doing and just throwing it in this forum like he has done, isnt this is what the buy sell forum is for? and if its the difference of because its a company name, whats the diff between this company, and matrix sports who does the altezzas who even barry has posted and hes a moderator?
maybe its just me, but this makes no sense at all
peace

I am the guy making these tie-downs, and no, I am not MXDan, although I know him well. Actually, he does work for me. I asked him to put this up here, not as a favour to ME, but as a favour to YOU GUYS. In fact, as it turns out, the bidding on Ebay has already gone WAY HIGHER than what I sell these things for on my website. I hadn't anticipated that, I thought perhaps one of you guys could get a bargain. I COULD be like SRD and others and do a lot of parts for your cars, but the only reason I don't is that Jeff's price to advertise on the board is way too high! I do a lot of stuff for DSM cars, for Subarus, for Hyundai, and for the Ford ZX2 guys. All of them let me advertise on their boards for FREE, and they are happy to have someone making TOP QUALITY parts at REASONABLE PRICES and that they don't have to ship to the US for! Instead of paying big fees to advertise, I just give them good prices on their stuff...and the guy who lets me use his car for fitting and testing gets an even better deal. If your board was as reasonable, I would do more for the MX3 as well....like I was planning to do a shift knob engraved with MX3, and I have had inquiries about Mazda emblems...I do shifter trims for the other cars, fuse box covers, etc. I could easily make beautiful parts for your cars, but I won't pay Jeff's price, so I keep busy enough with the other makes.....your loss.....

Jeff, you quoted me $50.USD per month to become a sponsor and advertise on your board. If you already have a couple of other sponsors, I don't see how you are "falling behind". I have my own website, complete with estore, and it only costs under $30.CDN per month to host that! I am already being ripped off by enormous fees every time I do banking or accept Visa or Mastercard. We are a 2 man shop (myself and my apprentice), and we keep QUITE busy with making parts for other cars....I just thought I could do your guys a favour and advise them of a bit of a bargain. There is no way I can justify those kinds of advertising fees for the few sales I would make there, plus, like I said, the other boards: DSM Canada, Toronto Subaru Club, ZX2 both Ontario and US, they are all happy to have someone willing to make accessories for their cars...they charge me nothing to advertise, and even post banners and link my site to theirs at no cost. Personally, I am betting you make a lot more money off your site than I do from my business!! Just out of curiosity, how much do you pay Mazda to use their trademarked and copyrighted logos on your site??
[ September 02, 2003: Message edited by: RTM ]

Actually, noone clicks the banners, he doesnt have alot of sponsors, and he pays for the outrageous traffic he gets every day to this site.
