colinsmx3 wrote:Well first off YOU asked for opinions... you got one! NO ONE can help in the sence of "what is going to happen" with these lights.... They are for sale and will continue to be for yrs to come no matter what since they are mass produced! I am just not sure WHY you can't decide for yourself... You have seen the outcome of the group buy lights, you know peoples views and I think alot of ppl are wondering why there is another post on this. It's simple if you wan't to return ure lights then you can do that and get the other lights, you shouldn't need other people to decide for you.
What did you expect the outcome will be and what people are going to say that hasn't already been said before...

Hey colins..First of all if u dont want to help dont do it.
I ask for other peoples opinion to help me , not to break my balls..
And second i dint need someone to decide for me.
I like both projector but the one i bought i like them better.
But those huge gaps wasnt in my plans so i decided if the other ones are normal to get that ones.
I just dont want to pay twice the projectors and thats why i need another opinion.
If u are rich and u dont have prob spending your money then good for u.
Dont try to be annoying.Just put your self in my place and think.
What whould u do? are u gonna bying the other ones without knowing if they are the same or ask before u act?
I did the second and i cant see why do YOU have a prob with this...

Thassodar wrote:Still no headlights...I'm getting a bit annoyed now. They were estimated for yesterday, they aren't here today, and they don't ship on Sunday I'm pretty sure. I don't know what to tell you but to wait a bit longer.

To the other people: Quit being dicks. Seriously. He bought the other MX-3 projectors (same ones as Colins), they had a pretty big gap. He doesn't appreciate the gap so he's considering getting the other projectors (the ones from the group buy), but before he does he want's to make sure that they aren't too small. I just happened to order some last Sunday, so I offered to take pictures of them EVEN THOUGH fowljesse did a write up of them already. Honestly who cares if there's another topic about projectors? It's a forum about MX-3's, and this is the sub-forum about Appearance. Just because the topic is at the top of the page doesn't mean you have to READ it. If you're not going to put something productive in a topic, don't put anything at all. You could have attempted to reassure him that the other projectors would fit, rather than berate him for asking questions.

Tnx a lot Thassodar for your concern!!I really appreciate that :D :D :D !!
I see it the same way..Besides this topic may actually help other members..
Ill be waiting to see u pictures!!! :D :D :D
Tnx again!! :D

Ok here we go...

WARNING: My car got in a fight with a Jeep Cherokee a few years ago, and came out a tad beat up. I still have not been able to get the frame of the car fixed. Also...the hood is yellow. I got it cheap at a junk yard, can you blame me? (the MX-3 I took it off was WAAAAY uglier)

Now that that's said:

Here's before on the right side:

Another on the left side:

Close-up on left (keep in mind that the front is bent a little, so I have no doubt they'd fit snug on your car):

This is the WORST picture because it shows just how bad my frame is bent. We adjusted it afterwards so it didn't look so terrible. When we closed the hood you barely saw anything amiss:

Now the night shots didn't come out as well as I hoped they would... but I'm gonna post them anyways. You wanted pictures, I deliver. Even if it's from a camera phone, lol.

Look up Zipmotor and you should get the same guy I did if that link doesn't work. I don't know if he ships outside of North America though... I have no doubt they'll fit perfectly on your car. They didn't seem too small or anything on mine, and they fit just right. If my frame wasn't bent they'd look SWEET. They still look damn good anyways.

By the way: the stock bulbs are BRIGHT. I need to figure out how to keep the lows on when I use the high beams so that I can effectively blind anyone/anything coming towards me.

+1 ^^

what the heck.. this was not an opinion thread, the guy was just trying to find out straightup for a FACT if the spyder lights were the same fit as OEM. sounds like a simple question to me. Jesse's confirmed that they are, as have others. i've yet to hear of anyone with problems with the spyder lights. clearly the option ones are not an exact fit, as we've seen on a few occasions (as i've seen myself). they're too small... so alex has a legitimate reason to be concerned before shelling out another $200 bucks for lights.

all this aftermarket vs. OEM, everyone's-fit-is-going-to-be-different talk is all a load of crap. alex was 100% right to cite altezzas as an example. NO ONE has fitment problems with those. they're 100% OEM fit. these headlights are not CF or fiber glass, where the product has to cure and no one piece is like any other. that is just argumentative and irrelevant, extraneous information.

i dunno what's going on with this board lately. ooh yea, everyone's so in your face. they say it like it is, so blunt. they tell you even tho you don't want to hear it. whatever... check your attitude at the door.
