How much tranny fluid to add in a BP 1.8???

Hey i tried searching this but with no luck and i ran out of time. Does anyone know how much fluid to add to the bp 1.8 tranny? thanks in advance

dont you just fill them up until you cant fill them up anymore? the fill plug should be on an angle downwards. and when they are full it leaks from the fill plug

hey thanks for the info...unfotunately i already added the fluid and only put about 2.8 quarts in.
And a speedo sensor is the plug to add the fluid, which is reallyt difficult to yank out.
How necessary is it to add more considering it is supposed to have 3.15 quarts?

Thats only a difference of 1/3 of a quart.

I don't think its THAT important. No other hole to dump it into?

HAHA no, unfortunately. Have to remove that dang speedo sensor which is tucked way in behind the engine. Hate to be the guy to change it in the future

I would do it, you will starve your 5th gears if you don't fill it up.
