Re: Mazdaspeed front-bumper
Another question:
Can I use the OEM fog lights (like on the photo above) with the Mazdaspeed front?
Or have I modify the front bumper?

Re: Mazdaspeed front-bumper
Sure can! Depends on how you want to mount them.
I liked the look of that, so I did that myself. I made some brackets and mounted them to the car itself rather than the bumper like the stock JDM/EDM bumper
(I'm glad to document everything )

Oh...man, you are so beatiful.
Great pictures....now I can buy the Mazdaspeed front bumper!
EDIT: May I post your pictures in the german MX-3 Community?
EDIT²: In the header of this page is also a MX-3 with Mazdaspeed front bumper. There are also fog lights monted. Do you know more about this? Maybe there are mounting kits available?

No problemoMX-3-Tom wrote:EDIT: May I post your pictures in the german MX-3 Community?
It's from what was called the A-Spec Mx-3. There's a few images of it, but by no means does it give details about it. I'll try to find what I got...MX-3-Tom wrote:EDIT²: In the header of this page is also a MX-3 with Mazdaspeed front bumper. There are also fog lights monted. Do you know more about this? Re: Mazdaspeed front-bumper
Yeah...this would be great.
About the mounting:
Did you have to bore some holes into the body of the car to mount the fog lights?

Re: Mazdaspeed front-bumper
Yes, but only 2, one preexisting hole lined up perfectly, but that hole on the opposite side of the car was used to mount the horn speaker. The other 2 I drilled.MX-3-Tom wrote:About the mounting:

Re: Mazdaspeed front-bumper
Actually, I didn't need one, it's very solid and doesn't vibrate at all, not even when driving. Probably part of the brackets being of a thick metal, and the fact that the fogs aren't hanging, but actually rested against the body of the car because the brackets are flush with the back of the fog light.

Great answer!
Thank you.

Yep, Glad I got it when i did, but they wouldn't let me get a "matching" plate for the Xterra, a "road safety" rule for plate naming, as well, it's too close to my original plates, lol. Started to work on pulling the motor out now thanks tot he nice weather. I don't have the cash to do get any work done on it, but at least when I do, I won't have as much time to pull it out, so fortunately, i'll be done.
