however i might get a new tranny as well.. probably clutch too depending on how much more it'll come up to

in that case what do u recommend? and also what type of tranny you guys using with your klze?

That's a good deal! You can use the stock tranny with no problems, or you can use a 626, since it has a taller final drive, and 5th gear. You definitely need to upgrade the clutch, though.

Keep in mind this is Canadian currency too, so for you imperial dogs, it translates to $1,217.05 credits :P

I definately need to upgrade the clutch?
what type of clutch do you guys use with your ze? stock clutch wont wrk?
im changing the clutch i just dont know what type of clutch hes going 2 be putting in, ill have to double check

Ya, there's volumes of information for clutches on KL swaps....

Think of it this way...you're clutch is designed to handle 115ft-lbs of torque...and a KL makes 165. Unless you decided to take it easy and drive it like a K8, which would defeat the purpose of a ZE, than no, it'll last weeks or months, depending on how hard you are on it. Even the Probe/Mx-6 owners don't recommend an OEM Mazda DE clutch on their DE's if you plan on doing more than just easy daily driving.

he bought a bmw..i tried to sell mine to buy his since it was 5spd but couldnt get rid of mine quick enough :cry:
