So driving home from near Langley AFB, Virginia (to Pittsburgh, PA), all was fine. Car was running great, strong, and ya know.. no problems. I get near the PA T-Pike, and get gas. I drive off and notice that the hold light just came on and is flashing. Uh oh... I'm thinking the worst.. something f*ed with the tranny (though good excuse to finally do the MTX swap).. but it felt fine.. I was driving about 70-80 MPH (depending on traffic and area) and sometimes down to 60 (again depending on the traffic and area) and it was running great. When I got into town to drop my friend off, it still felt great (even when we would come to a red light and go again, the tranny shifted fine and all that good stuff). The light was on the whole time (2 hours maybe? I was really close to home when it came on), and then when I got home last night I parked it (around 8:30 PM). This morning when I went to work around noon, the light was not on. The car still ran excellent..
I checked all the fluids, and they were okay (though I had to "top off" the antifreeze and power steering fluid).
So my question is should I worry? Or what? I just want to play it on the safe side lol.. cuz really now is not the time for me to have to go get a tranny (especially with all the other goodies i'm in the process of getting for my car lol).
thanks a lot everyone!!!

what year is your mx3? if its obd2 then you can scan it and it should tell you all the lights that have come on previously and why. my winter beater (saturn) the service engine light came on, but then went off, when i scanned it it told me gear one had slipped, now my saturn doesnt have reverse and makes knocking sounds in first and second gear. so with previous experience with transmissions, even tho not mx3 related (but what ive read, atx mx3 trannys are garbage) i would say yes, be worried.
NEED PARTS INSTALLED? PM ME!

You can try reading tranny codes by jumping GND->TAT in the diag box (if you have a TAT pin that is)...

Re: To Worry, or not? (ATX ?)
So I went out today to check tranny codes.. and there is no connector @ the TAT spot.. there is one at GND but not TAT =/
I did, however, check engine codes.. and got the following:
9 (Water Thermosensor)
15 (Oxygen Sensor Inactivation)
34 (ISC Valve)
63 (Lockup Solenoid Valve)
I then reset the ECU, and did another check, which erased all but #34 (ISC).
So, what should I do about checking tranny codes?
