Hi Guys,
Just a heads up. I bought a can of this the other day at Car Quest after seeing an ad for it in an magazine while getting the MX-3 Krown rust protected.

This probably old news to most of you. I haven't tried it yet as the car is running pretty well right now.

I don't know about 4 cyls, but the V6 VAF doesn't get dirty, and if it does, it's easily wiped off with a moist washcloth (it doesn't have hot wires). I took mine off after about 130,000 miles in the desert, and it had a little dust on it, so I wiped it off with a washcloth damp with rubbing alcohol. If you use a K&N, or other good oiled gauze filter, it'll never get dirty.

Me thinks you need to remove the sensor from the VAF body to clean it. It's suggested you don't apply too much pressure to the element/wire or you could damage it. Upon engine shut down a high voltage surge is sent to the sensor to "burn off" any contaminents. That in itself should keep the sensor clean.
