Shifter pops out of 3rd gear

I have a 96 with the V6 and it has been popping out of 3rd gear. All the other gears are fine its only third. I dont know whats causing this.

Check the fluid. You could have several problems. You could have problems with the hub slider, or 3rd gear on the main/secondary shaft/s. Also, make sure the engine mounts and shift bushings are not worn out.

the dog teeth could have lost the chamfer on the end allowing the synchronizer to slide out of gear
