corksport buyers beware
corksport buyers beware
i bought some of the pedders lca bushings off corksport for my 94mx
the rear two piece bushings would not fit the rear and even if they did they had the sleeve for the front bolt
the front single piece was loose and it had the rear shaft sleeve on it
luckily i thought to just swap them but the guys down at corksport obviously don't know what the @$#% their doing
to top it all off Ive waited about a month on these bushings to get here
they had them on "back order" so they just ordered directly from pedders and then they were supposed to second day air them to me to make up for the order and instead they ground shipped them to me

Yeah, If you just call corksport and talk to them nicely they will help you out. I ordered a crap load of stuff from them, It took three shipments to get everything in, but clear contact made it a breeze. I'd buy from them again anytime.

Re: corksport buyers beware
yeah, i also have ordered several times at corksport and never ever had any problems with them. really fast shipping, good and clear contact through email. 1 email i found a little bit weird, not really answering my question like he didnt really knew what he was talking about, but overall i find it one of the better mx3 parts store

Re: corksport buyers beware
Sorry you went through that with them, and I hope that it'll never happen again... to you, or anyone else. I ordered new rear mud gaurds from them, with no problems. They were good on the customer service.
If you fall, then get back up........Luck favors the prepared
Re: corksport buyers beware
I've order'd many things off corksport with out issues. You do know there are 2 different diamters of lower control arm bushings right? the GS modles come with bushings 4mm larger then the 4 cyl models. You should go to a wreckers and get ear bushing for a 4 cyl and press the new bushings into those sleves

Cork Sport has always been good for me. Every company has its slip-ups, looks like you were the unlucky customer.

Re: corksport buyers beware
I remember many years ago a guy boycotting Corksport. Had it in his sig. I've ordered from them many times, especially when I was working in the US and never had a problem. Would even call me just in case because of the different address it being shipped to they wanted to make sure it was me.

Re: corksport buyers beware
I got my ground controls from them.. no issues
Re: corksport buyers beware
I've been well satisfied with Corksport. Probably a slip-up.
Re: corksport buyers beware
Wait, what? Is that true for all the GS models? I have a feeling the SuperPro set I ordered recently is going to have the wrong sized LCA bushings then. I just went by the part numbers listed in the old bushing thread. I don't remember anyone saying "Hey, if you have a GS, you'll need to use a different part number for LCAs instead".Trevor wrote:I've order'd many things off corksport with out issues. Re: corksport buyers beware
This is also the first I've heard that...but it makes total sense. The Proteges and Escorts also have the 40mm LCA bushings. I guess I will be confirming a few things before I go any further with my bushing project. I'd hate to leave the RS guys out.Whisper wrote:Wait, what? Is that true for all the GS models? Re: corksport buyers beware
well my main issue was that my car was sitting up for about two months or so because my hub bearing went bad..then i had to order a spindle...then i had to get the sway bar links....then the lca bushings were shot...
it was a big mess and i ordered those bushings in a manor so i could have everything done asap but i had to wait for like a month for the bushings then they were wrong
i have my car running now...the brake booster is out, go figure....but i need it for work so i dont have to keep relying on my gf to get me to work
it was just sh!77y how they made me wait that long even after the promise of "fast shipping"
