Re: Another day at the circuit.
Well, I guess you can say we like the crashes. Some are quite good, and others suck (like when someone dies). There are probably other reasons, but none really pop into my head.OutlaW wrote:Off Topic:::: There is one thing i can never understand :

Re: Another day at the circuit.
Americans that like NASCAR are called rednecks, they live in trailers in the South and Midwest, and their main drink is Budwizer.
Drag racing is really popular too, and it's no more complicated than NASCAR. Just drive in a straight line as fast as you can.
But really, I think circuit racing is growing in popularity. American car manufacturers are concentrating more on handling, and less on power these days.

Re: Another day at the circuit.
Looks like alot of fun, how are your coilovers holding up so far?
What is your brake/motor setup?

Re: Another day at the circuit.
Coilovers seem to hold up alright. I have a feeling everything else is gonna fall apart before they do. I'm glad I got them. The ride is still relatively soft, but handles nice, especially after proper corner balancing.
Brakes are Axxis pads in the front (which I highly recommend), and OEM in the back. Brembo blank rotors. SS lines. High performance fluid.
ZE motor, though I feel it's a bit underpowered (so I hope it's a ZE). It's got some angry HLA tick, or maybe it's valve tap. Either way, that's probably robbing some power, and I'll open it up and clean and adjust it at some point. Although maybe I am getting enough power, and I'm just greedy. Maybe I should dyno it. Thing is, I don't really care that much about power. I have a lot more fun in the turns.

Re: Another day at the circuit.
How was the brake fade?
I ordered a set of brembo blanks as that have been slotted (I just like the look) and a set of Hawk HPS pads up front and OEM rear.. I am hoping to get rid of my horrible brake fade and warpage..

Re: Another day at the circuit.
There was no brake fade. They shed a lot of dust and they deliver the stopping power, especially once warmed up.
I hear Hawk pads are pretty good too. I was gonna get them, but they weren't in stock, and my friend who also tracked his car recommended Axxis. I wish their rear pads were also available for MX-3.

Yeah, I read about those and they're my primary consideration for next set of rear pads, as soon as the OEM wear down a bit more.solo_ryder wrote:You can get EBC rear pads! Check thier website.
Re: Another day at the circuit.
I'd like to come down to Oregon and check out Portland International, but I'd rather have a trailer for that. Eventually I will, though.Mooneggs wrote:wow that looks like so much fun! maybe we could get a few mx-3's from down here to come up and attend one of these events in the future!
