I posted this in the transmission section, but I figured only people with problems browse there and the traffic here is much more. The automatic transmission in my mom's 94 RS is bad. There is not a cheap local AT for her car, but at the U-Pull-It yard, there is a wrecked 92 with the SOHC 4 cyl engine and a good AT. I would think it would work, but would I need to swap the tranny computer as well? Surely it should bolt up, but are there any differences with any sensors, torque converter, mounts, etc. Has anyone done this before?
Any input is very appreciated!
Thanks
Will a 92 SOHC 4 cyl Auto Tranny work in a 94 DOHC 4 cyl?

The manual tranny's are the same, but I'm not sure the Auto is although it should be the same, call Mazda and have them check the part numbers and see what series they are. The only difference might be the gearing.
Good luck.
Good luck.
