best place to buy an exhaust?

Post by Schwank »

Hey, I need an entire exhaust system for a 93 1.6ltre. I was quoted 750 at the local shop, and thats just not doable. I was going to buy a complete system on ebay for around 200 plus the down pipe and cat, but they're all listed 94 + and mines a 93, is there a difference?

If you have a Mufflers 4 Less, I high reccomend them for cheap quality work. For a full exhaust on my old Metro convertible it cost $180. The guy went from just past the collector/flange all the way back. All pipes he bent as he was doing it.
the $180 got me:
New muffler
New CAT
New resonator
And mandral bent (possibly stainless steel) piping.

try lookin into shops that don't specialize in exhausts. there's a local mechanic shop here that does custom exhaust work for around $250.

your best bet is to find a high school with a good auto shop buy the material and have them do it for free so they can use your car as a guinea pig
