i recently pulled a bp tranny out of a protege...i want to say it was a 92 but that sounds wrong... either way im lookin for an lsd to drop in it
if anyone has any info it would be appreciated
1994 MX-3 1.6L B6DE 16v DOHC - rear disc swap, nix power steering/ac, Corksport f&r strut tower bars, Pedders urethane control arm bushings, urethane motor mounts, steel braided brake lines, painted dash, protege tranny

If it was from an LX, and you live in the USA, that is the right vehicle. The tranny is actually an G25M-R. Its the same tranny used by the 626, MX6, and V6 MX3.
Same series, I mean. They all have slight differences in gear ratios. The good news is any LSD that fits on those models will fit on your transmission. The final drive is 4.105:1, so just double check that the LSD you pick up also has that ratio.

Not being an expert, that is merely the best of my knowledge and I do not guarantee that I am correct.

You won't be spinning much tires on just a BP, though. Turbo it, and for sure.

The MazdaSpeed LSD can be ordered by your local dealer for the Protege. My dealer told me it was special order and would take a week to bring in.

Careful with part #'s. Some have been superceded.

i think ill stop by the dealer and see how much they want for the mazda speed lsd
if not im sure i could find some one the protege forums

well ive found the lsd
will i still be able to use the factory axels with the lsd?

no, you will need both axles and the intermediate shaft from a 95-97 kia sephia 1.8 dohc 5 speed

sounds crazy, i know.. but trust me on this.
