gas tank and float/meter

Post by tomfinn »

first things first, how much does the 93 base model mx3 gas tank hold in gallons, and two, do any of you have problems with your gas meter bouncing around? my needle bounces around anywhere from an 8th of a tank to a 4th of a tank. could this be the float in the tank that is messed up, or is it the meter? help please!

The gas tank holds 50 Liters or 13.2 US Gallons.

There is a hollow plastic floater attached to the fuel pump which indicates
how high the gas is in the tank. When you corner fast the gas sloshes around
and can throw a high or a low reading depending on turn direction. Nothing
to worry about just read your gas guage when the car is on a flat level surface.
