50/50 weight distribution

Post by The General »

So my teacher in physics today was talking about RWD and how you add weight to the back of trucks and such, to get more traction cause of weight. I had to bring up the fact that I thought that most cars that are RWD today and pretty much through the 90's ie: 240sx, 180sx, all bmws, is300's, rx7, rx8, s2000 all strive for a 50/50 weight dis and come close to it. He wanted me to bring in an article or list of cars that are close or exactally on it. So I was wondering if you guys could post up some exact, by fact weight distributions of RWD cars from the 90's up

50/50 weight distribution is better for handling, but not necessarily straight-line acceleration.

I noticed some of the new dodge ram quad cabs have matching weight ratings on their front and rear axles...

Look into FD Rx-7 articles. For what I remember, that's a huge deal with that car which makes it arguabely one of Japan's best handling cars.

Well apparently you wanted us to look up every car thats rwd with a 50/50 weight distribution. :p

I would just look up some of the better sports cars and look for specifications on their weight distribution.
