MAF Sensor question

I need a MAF sensor for my K8 and its a 1996 OBD2 and was wondering if they are all the same from different years and compatible with OBD1, or do i need to buy a specific one for OBD2?

Dealership - $1000+ (They say none in North America BTW)
Lordco/Napa/Other Places like that - $200-400
Scrap Yards - $50-300
People - $20-50

I know a few people that have a stash of them from usaly $20-40
Solo-Ryder and Se7en.

Otherwise id go with buying them off people if i were you.

Try the salvage yards man, I just picked up - kl02 mafs for $20. should be able to find a je50, If you still have trouble let me know. there was two mx-3 v6's in the yard I was at.
