^^^simple answer is that the de valvetrain works good and cures our valve floating problem and its cheap to do. The Ferrea setup is like $1400

I don`t freqent the boards enough to post day to day and I apologise in advance.

Milling the KLZE head`s to increase CR ( compression Ratio ) is a waste of time as you
lose that lovely combustion chamber area that promotes good swirl.

On a side note I have raced engines at 10:1 and the same engine at 18:1 the
hp gain on the dyno was there, the reliability HELL NO! and the blend that went
in the tank was enough to make your eyeès water!!

I personally do not have a issue of timing problems as I have adjustable gears for
both cams ( totally trick stuff )

The ports as Seven has stated and I have in a previous post are simply to big!
Rasing the floor of the port on a flow bench has gain results, but then you have to
change the shape of the intake mainifold to match.

Knifing the devider creates a lot less reverse action in the intake pulse.
( engines are not constant flow they pulse, air flow starts and stops )

I have always polished my combustion chambers to a mirror finsh and my
ports have always had a bead blast finish, though one trick on a motor
that simply would not atomise the fuel was to cut two slots arouns the port
about 0.40 wide and 0.40 deep to create ridges to promote turbulance.

meh well I was bored waiting for parts to arrived so I went ahead and knife edged intake ports, removed intake casting lines, smooth inside transition. On the exhaust side I removed the cast lines, smoothed the machining into the cast and semi polished it. I expect FA gain really, but there was alot of bumpy cast defects that the previous carbon was latched onto, so I did it to prevent that more than see a gain as such. I'll no doubt get a dyno, but don't have an original to compare to!

ok i see the hump on the floor of the intake side on the ze heads...can that be grinded flat or will it protrude into a coolant passage/oil passage....otherwise i 'll just polish it
