this looks just like how mine was. i dont see anything blown between the cylinders, did you have lots of white smoke or low compression?

Bad compression, its getting replaced with a BP anyway.

ahh nice good luck with the swap. you using the bp or the b6 tranny?

at least the bp uses a multi layer steel head head gasket compared to the composite gasket the b6 uses..

I gotta tell ya, Sometimes headgaskets 'go' and they don't leave any trace of where.


I have seen obvious head gasket problems, and the gasket looks fine.

It's weird sometimes.

ya same here, my b6 had the same issues. the ridges werent blown between the cylinders. can you special order multilayer b6 headgasket limegreen?
