Ground Control Coilover Conversion Kit

Post by MX3-Life »

http://www.ground-control-store.com/pro ... .php?II=31" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Has anyone used this kit? If so... Is it worth it/ Does it work well/ Preform well?

And this may seem like a dumb question but is that $399each Coilover or is that for all (4)?

Thanks.

Its for all 4 and they are great. I have them matched up to my escort zx-2 shocks and have had no issues! BUY THEM unless you are a n00b

I think this will be the system I use when I get set up for autocross.

In my opinion. This is the best setup available for our cars!

There are better setups available, but they're pricey. This one is just the best bang for the buck setup.

"This kit fits 91-96 Ford Escort and 90-94 Protege-323-92-MX3 and 91-98 Tracer..."

can our cars use suspension kits from all those vehicles listed or is it specific to the kits?

All of those cars use some variation of the same strut, though with different valving and height, so the same coil over will fit them all.

the zx2 is pretty close to the same weight as the mx3, and the sr struts are the best back for the performance buck

ebay is pretty unreliable for fitment

91-03 all escorts are the same

and for the rest youd have to look at the interchangeability guide

i have a 99 escort sedan with this setup on it

You mentioned using zx2 struts, would the work well with a set of KYB GR2's? I have used them in my neighbor's Grand AM and my old roommate's Cavy. I have to replace my rear strut mounts so I was thinking of getting some ground controls and GR2's all the way around while I was at it.
