valve seals

Post by Bumpysbro »

hey guys i was wondering, i had my head rebuilt back in may 06 ran it for a couple months but then i parked my car back in april and tore the engine apart and the head has been sitting for almost a year. i was wondering if should get the valve seals replaced, ive read somewhere they can dry up. just wanted to make sure i put alot of money into this build and dont want to see it go up because i was careless. thanks

It would be in your best interest to install new valve guide seals as they do dry out.
It's a small investment that can make a big difference, plus it will give you peace of mind knowing that the seals are new and protecting your investment. :D
