Fitted a short shifter to the car while its been off the road, and now when the car is in gear the gear shift seems to move about an inch from side to side whilst in gear... as you can imagin quick changes are a bit of a nightmare!!
Can you buy bushes to stop this or should they have come with the shifter kit?? If so where from? Looking at doing track days this year and I cant with the shifter as it is!

Re: Short Shifter Movement
You can buy bushings to fix this. Go to ebay and type in " mx3 shifter bushings " ...
When you installed the new shifter, did you take out your old bushings out of your stock shifter and put them in the new shifter? The bushings are where the bolt goes threw. Check your old shifter cause they are probally still in there.
