sticky reverse

Post by mortenmorfar »

Hi, im having a little bit of trouble with my car, when I start it and want to put it into reverse it sometimes takes a lot of force, but if I let go of the clutch a little bit then it drops right in... so any ideas of what's wrong ?

oh it's a MX 3 1.6 (b6d) 1997, with the stock clutch

reverse is alwaysa bit sticky in these cars.sometimes you gotta release the clutch and then press it in again. Your shifter bushings could be worn and making it harder than normal.

Reverse is a little hard because there is no syncro for it and you will need to be completly stoped in order to engage it.

Okay then I will live with it, the car is still under warranty, but if it's normal then I don't want to send it to the shop =)

Having a lil trouble getting it in the rear gate?!

Reminds me of a girl i knew,
forcing it doesn't work, best to stick it in forwards first THEN ease it in

works like a charm lol!
