you want to swap and turbo. Best advice, concentrate on one objective first.
Options: ... B6 Boost, BP, BP-T .
I've only been back to MX-3.com for acouple of weeks, and I know this answer like the back of my hand. It only gets asked every other day.
Good luck with your plans! :D

I vote bpt cause its what I have and I pull off 12's with a fairly stock motor and bald tires. Here's a graph of a street-able bpt

http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/showpo ... stcount=53

BTW a bpt is a 1.8L

There is also a bpt in PR putting down somewhere between 600 and 700 hp with 8 sec 1/4's but they are serious about that stuff.

Seriously though this question does get asked a billion times, all the different engines will make more power than you need it just depends on what route you want to take.

Read the 4 cyl. FAQ's. Honestly, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but to make your life on MX-3.com easier. No one here is going to spoon feed you the answers to these VERY WELL DOCUMENTED questions. edit...OK no one with more than 50 posts

If you can't take the time to do some research, and then come back with informed, intelligent questions, you are going to find this forum frustrating...look at your first post.

Here is a freebie and a good place to start if you know absolutely nothing about Mazda engines....from the 4 cyl FAQ's http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=53114" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And a little punctuation wouldn't kill you either.

u sure u want to be front heavy in a FWD for Drift thats not so wise don't u think.

ur better off in a BP in N/A form for at least a better F/R weight distribution

Its a racing team called diablo they have two 323's one with a bp one with an fs both in that power range, both stupid fast. Drivers name is Elvira I believe, shes a good driver.

I'm not 100% on the details as its been a while since I've heard from them but its in that neighbourhood.

I'm still mostly impressed with the PR guy and his FE3 in the MX-3.
