[WTB] hazard/defrost or cruise control switch light bulbs

Post by Mooneggs »

This is a very specific WTB. I forgot to take pics, so I will try and post them tomorrow.

I am looking for the bulbs only from the hazard/defrost or cruise control switches found on 92-93 mazda mx-3's. All of my bulbs have gone out and I need like 8 of them LOL :D

I went to mazda but they don't just sell the bulbs! If anybody has links to where I can buy them brand new that would be great! I can't figure out what the part/bulb number is :?

thank you! 8)

I got your PM matt and here are the pics just to be sure :D

I've included the penny for size reference. I just want to make sure that the ones I buy actually work because as you can see I have ALOT that don't work (all in the pic).

I haven't seen those gauges pop up on ebay in some time... but they are the coolest gauges for the mx-3 IMO :D

here are 2 different sites - it looks like they are sold out but maybe you could contact them:

Arent those just normal 194 wedge bulbs? At one time - i was looking into buying wide angle led bulbs to replace them - but then it got too cold to do anything.

No those are too big. Anyway Moon, if you want I can send you a pic of ones I have, see if they are diff than what u got. They are 1/8 x 7/16 12v minis. I've got 9 and pretty sure they'll work cuz I replaced mine with some. That little green and red "jimmy hat" part slides over them. Or paint em with a sharpie. I'm still needing that one small part too, know what I mean...

so shameem some on this page you think might work? some say t5...

Lukwuticando: I think the ones you are talking about may be too small... I guess I should go home and try to measure them  did you use the bulbs for this exact application? I'm finding out there are alot of mini type varients. For example the bulbs out of some of the other switches are not the same and I've found at least 5 different types in my various switches :?

DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE EXACT TYPE OF BULB i AM LOOKING FOR? LOL :x

I dunno these are like little hobby bulbs. I used them for all the little bulbs that were burned out , like the a/c switch, hazard light stuff like that. If you got switches from all over the world tho who knows. They were all the same in my car. Your pix they all look the same size so...seems like too big would be more of a problem than small but...

How precise are you willing to get with it?? To me it just needs to fit in there and light up :) . They also sell a few versions in pairs at radio shack if you got one nearby. I used one or two of those also. CUZ the first set of 10 I got from ebay of the toy bulbs the idiot sent in a regular envelope and they were all SMASHED when they got to me. Big surpise wow

yes my main goal is that they light up the switch - they don't have to be the exact OEM model LOL :D

do you think you could tell me the radio shack stock number for the bulbs? this seems to be the best alternative so far! maybe radioshack.com has them and you could link them to me? I would really really appreciate it sir!!!

it would be sweet if I could just go buy them myself :D

Yes, go to radioshack.com and search for "12V Microlamps (2-Pack) ".
Those are the ones I got and they'll be your best bet.
