1st autocross of the Season- MX-3 Pics!
1st autocross of the 2008 Season with the Atlanta Region SCCA... The course was just under a mile long-- one of the longest in the region's history.
Jesse Naughton Co-Drove my car and gave me some great instruction. I ended up 11th in my class due to going on the wrong side of a gate which caused me to DNF, but my raw time would have placed me 5th in class.
Jesse did not change his car during registration-- so it says is a Protege, But its really my car.
I was just over a second slower than him on my fastest run.

you guys have these "autocross" events, because there are no real tracks ... or is that only a taste thing ?

Haha- No!
We have a world class road course just an hour north of us here in Atlanta.
Road Atlanta is where they have the Petit LeMans every year.
Track days are pricey and can only do a few year.
Autocross is once or twice a month and helps me get the Go-Fast out of my system so I am not driving like a maniac on the streets. Its fun to be around other like-minded car guys and learn better driving skills too!
