Re: bp rebuild kit
That is the kit I am using along with H-beam rods from Belfabracing. It is at the shop being put together as I type this. The parts are good quality parts and I am sure you will be happy with the kit.
Here is a link with picks of the kit in my worklog thread along with all my other parts for my build. I am planning to boost to around 22+ psi.

Re: bp rebuild kit
I think total with shipping and duties, I think it was between $1300-1400cdn. That is without rods also.
This kit isn't just for turboed motors, it is for any motor. It is made up of quality parts and it all comes down to building a motor good enough for either N/A or turbo. If you get the kit, you will be happy with it, I know I am.

You would be completely fine with 9:1 compression on a boosted BP. Ask anyone that has boosted a BP, for instance Limegreenmx= 12 sec mx, jaydog=over 300 whp, and my daily driver with a GTX kit.

Re: bp rebuild kit
I was also looking at those HP kit's for my B6 build and i was planing on getting the stock bore with 9.5:1 compression. I orded the Belfab H-beam rods too. We'll see how they hold up. I'm planning on boosting to make about 350 hp, so it shouldn't be a problem with a good tune.
B6 1.6L DOHC, CAI, custom intake mani. with internal velocity stacks, 65mm thottle body, probe 4-2-1 header, custom 2.5" high flow exhaust, Centerforce dual friction, MS2, MSD 6A, Tokico struts, EIBACH springs.
