kms per tank of gas

Post by zoom_zoom94mx3 »

I currently get around 500kms for a full tank of prenium gas. Is this about average? what kind of gas milage does everyone else get?

Around 500 kms is pretty normal. I get about 480 - 500 per tank depending if i do more city or highway driving.

depending what you are calling a tank... how many gallons are we talking here?

usually my gas light comes on around 9 gallons and I fill up around 10 gallons...

so if you are using 12-13 gallons you would get more mileage...

The proper way to compare this is either miles/gallon or Litre/100KM for us Canadian's.

For the life of my MX-3 so far, my averages are:
9.34 L/100KM
or
30.61 Miles/Gallon

13.2 gallons is a full tank of gas so i just mean based on that how many miles do you get of average driving?

if you get 500km before fuel light comes on, that's a great result. You better talk in mpg od l/km and note if it's in city/highway and are you shifting hard or like a granny

'94 MTX Rs. My average is 8.92 L/100km. I never shift higher than 3500 rpm's. This is all city driving, no highway. Don't really go over 100 KM/H.
And I don't honk on the throttle.

So yeah, I drive it like it's made of glass.

I know the correct method to test mileage, but in lamens terms, if I completely fill my tank and drive it until I run out of gas, I get roughly 570 km's.

for me on a trip from my house to winnipeg is roughly 800 kms. so i travel 350 kms to the first stop and i will have have a tank left. ill fill it up and go another 300-350 kms and have half a tank and well then fill up and carry on. i get to winnipeg with about 3/4s of a tank. and this is all going 140-170 kms/hr. it really helps when the wind is at my back to but yea probably 1 1/4 tanks usually to do the trip.... uggghhh only 6 more weeks and i do it again..... so yea 500 kms a tank is pretty god id say.

I used to get 450-500km per tank before the swap. After putting a DE in, i'll get 300-350. The swap is still pretty new so I still drive it like it's stolen. Once I calm down, I'd say probably 400-450km per tank
