dont know if you can get em in the states but we have 'silva-tech' bulbs here that would look better in your turn signals. they look silver when off but light up orange. stops the wat we call 'egg yolk' effect in your lights.
hope this makes sense!

thanks for that tip - I think I will do that and keep everything very clear looking! I know exactly which chrome bulbs you are talking about.

I got in my other batch of parts friday: custom gelcoated LHD taillights, OEM yellow fogs, red OEM mini side skirts

I rewired the slow car's taillights and wired the 2 inner lights to the rear foglight switch. I noticed that these gel coated lights have just a tiny noticeable darkness in the red - it looks nice!!

I also swapped in the yellow fog inner housings... this picture is dark because the HID were so bright. I always thought that the difference was just yellow bulbs but there is an inner piece with a projector type lense that is either yellow or clear.

I also noticed a difference in the foglight adjustment bolt. On the UK/german ones it is an allen bolt... on my JDM fogs it's a philips head. I prefer philips so I kept those...

I also noticed a difference in LHD and RHD OEM euro tails. On LHD mx-3's the rear fog light is in the back inner left side. On RHD mx-3's the rear fog light is in the back inner right side. I am going to source another LHD euro tail light set and match it to my RHD euro tails so I can have 2 authentic rear fog lights... lol sorry I'm a perfectionist...

Wow i bet u spent a lot of time and money tacking all these parts down. I like your idea about geting two diff light sets and mixing them up so u dont have to cut the hole out for the rear fog light. I would like to use your idea and do the same but its kinda hard to understand a RH car has the fog on the left and LH has it on the right is that correct?

yes this project has been costly but IMO it has been worth it learning about different mx-3's around the world.
As far as the rear fog lights, depending whether it is LHD or RHD determines where the rear fog light is. And also it's not just a matter of cutting out the hole. The actual rear fog light hole has an extra piece of curved metal inside that in turn makes the light MUCH brighter than the other side. So that's why I want from each side so I can have super brights on either side

I pulled some heated seat switches from a millenia that I think might work if I can't find some mx-3 ones...
Thanks to my friend, Steve from Slovakia he found a cruise control switch from a Miata that will work with the international project since all the other spaces will be full of other buttons
Plus it's mazda OEM... So I will copy Steve's idea
The German front and rear fog light switches will replace the US location for the cruise control switches. This switch will fit in the hole next to the cigarette lighter. SWEEEEEEET!
OEM mazda parts FTW!!!

I don't really like the OEM mini sides - I prefer the mazdaspeed style ones since they flare out more they match the agressive JDM lip. This was a difficult decision to veer away from the OEM parts but I figure MazdaSpeed is close to OEM even though they never had an acutal MazdaSpeed MX-3!

just when I think I am almost done with the international project I find more OEM parts I should have on the car
http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=436316
I think I may try to find the slider HVAC with a/c buttons next to it. I also want to find the bumper with the headlight cleaner nozzles. I'm also curious about the metal plaque for the back that says mx-3... of course I would take the cd tray too - that is just too cool!
*sigh* will my project ever be complete????

Thank you GR8 for the link! I bought the item and I just received it today!gr8 wrote:You still looking for the center caset holder thingi that came in the AZ-3's ? If you are i saw one like a few weeks ago.
Edit: I sent you the link
I realize that no one no longer uses tapes but who cares... it's OEM for the international project!

this came from an Autozam AZ-3 in the UK! The actual trays were made in Germany though...
