Sloppy Clutch pedal

Post by JimsMX3 »

Out of no where my clutch pedal will push in about a inch before any sort of tension or disengageing of the clutch occurs. It also looks like the clutch pedal extends out more than it used to when not in use. I just got a new clutch put in and thought this would help solve the problem. It did not. When i first bought the car it didnt do this. Any tips on how to solve this?

try bleeding the system and checking for leaks.

there is a little rubber piece that acts as a stop halfway up the clutch pedal - if this piece is mssing it could be causing this ... also you can adjust the clutch pedal in and out by a nut on the bolt that connects with the master cylinder... the online shop manual has instructions how to do this.
