u just have to swap out the UDP and water pump pulley for that of the 1.6 sohc or dohc, udp and water pump pulley and them u can use a gs alt on a BP..
Is that a small nose crank or a large?

I looked everywhere and couldent find a serpintene crank pully that would fit mine. i found an aftermarket aluminum pully, but i didnt want to reduce the weight. i did just find a v belt pully from a 2nd gen that will fit the GS alt
large nose crank of couse

small nose crank won't work at all.

the unorodotox (can't remember how to spell it) UDP for the mx-3 or stock 4cly mx-3 UDP and any water pump pulley from a 4cly mx-3 will work for the BP big nose crank.

josh ur sliping on me.. guy..

which do u have by the way..
i know i know, i forgot to mention the small and big nose crank. I went with a small nose BP. Why; because i could use a high flow oil pump off of a B6. 60% more flow for the turbo system. thats why i didnt want to use an aftermarket UDP, because the small nose cranks have issues with a lightened UDP, and crank wabble, under boost.

What you guys may want to do is look/search on thread in regards to using a GS 90amp alternator, I know there are a few threds on this, one should be farily detailed if i remember right...it fits the same, just requires 1 extra wire hook up to ignition
Swapping 60Amp (RS) for 90Amp (GS) alternator:

I notice a couple of weeks a go, on my friend Ron'sProtege that the engine RPM's would change each time the lights flashed when the emergency flashers were on. The stock charging system was having a hard time keeping up to the electrical requirments of the car. I gave Ron my spare 90Amp alternator to see if that would fix the problem of the engine speed dropping everytime he increased the electrical demand on the car. He had to swap pulleys from the old 60Amp to the 90Amp alternator because the "B" engine use a V-belt where the "K" engine use a serpentine belt. Also the Mounting bolts attach from the opposite side. Once the alternator is mechanically installed the wiring just plugs in. Now with the charging system having more capacity it uses less engine horsepower to operate all the electric systems....can we say thanks VAUGHN
