protege crank sensor

Post by gtfourcelica »

hi,
any help with this?

im recently installing a e6x haltech ecu on my 1.8 turbo protege engine
im using the 36-1 teeth trigger wheel and sensor that already come on the crankpulley,
the sensor has 2 wires (green and red)and some kind of shielded wire
to connect this sensor to the e6x ecu do i need to connect 12v ign. to the red wire and the green to the trigger wire on the e6x ecu?
or DOESNT the sensor need 12v?
is this correct or ......
green is trigger, red is ground and shielded is going to an chassis ground?
anybody knows this??

thnx 4 your help

Since the sensor is just a coil pickup - i would try the above configuration first - if it doesnt work properly try switching green & red......
